Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Houseboat Experience
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred
to a traditional Kashmiri houseboat located on the serene Dal Lake. Known for its timeless charm
and intricate wooden interiors, the houseboat offers a unique cultural stay experience. After
check-in, enjoy a welcome drink and relax while soaking in the calm surroundings of the lake. Later
in the evening, proceed for a Shikara ride across Dal Lake, passing through floating gardens, local
markets, and beautifully crafted houseboats. You can also explore the floating vegetable market
and interact with local vendors. Dinner and overnight stay at deluxe houseboat.
Day 2: Srinagar to Sonamarg (90 km | Approx. 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive towards Sonamarg, also known as the “Meadow of Gold”. The journey takes
you through the scenic Sindh Valley, famous for its lush greenery, flowing rivers, and picturesque
villages. On arrival, check into your campsite surrounded by snow-capped peaks and alpine
meadows. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the surroundings, taking short walks, or simply
relaxing in nature. Dinner and overnight stay at Sonamarg camp
Day 3: Sonamarg to Damsna via Zoji La (175 km | 4–5 hrs)
Today you enter the dramatic landscapes of Ladakh. Drive through the famous Zoji La Pass, one of
the most thrilling mountain passes connecting Kashmir to Ladakh. The terrain gradually changes
from green valleys to rugged mountains. Pass through Drass, known as the second coldest
inhabited place in the world. Continue your journey into the Suru Valley, offering mesmerizing views
of the Nun–Kun mountain range. Arrive at Damsna and check into your campsite with stunning
Himalayan backdrops. Dinner and overnight stay at Damsna camp.
Day 4: Damsna – Panikhar – Chumik Trek (7 km | 4–5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Panikhar village, a beautiful settlement in Suru Valley surrounded by
farmland and towering peaks. Begin your trek towards Chumik. The trail is gradual and ideal for
acclimatization, passing through meadows, small streams, and shepherd routes. Enjoy peaceful
surroundings and panoramic views throughout the trek. Reach Chumik campsite by afternoon.
Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 5: Chumik to Kalapari Trek (3929m | 7 km | 3–4 hrs)
Begin your trek towards Kalapari, a stunning high-altitude meadow offering uninterrupted views of
the Himalayan range. The trail gradually ascends, allowing trekkers to enjoy changing landscapes.
Kalapari is known for its wide open grasslands and dramatic mountain scenery, making it a perfect
campsite for photography and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalapari camp.
Day 6: Glacier Lake Trek – Deonardo (4080m to 3770m)
Today is the highlight of the trek. Trek towards a pristine glacier lake situated at an altitude of
around 4080 meters. The lake is surrounded by snow and glacial formations, offering a truly
magical experience. Spend some time at the lake enjoying the silence and natural beauty before
descending towards Deonardo campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at Deonardo camp.
Day 7: Deonardo to Lamayuru Drop
After breakfast, descend back to Panikhar village and drive towards Kargil through the scenic Suru
Valley. The journey offers continuous views of rivers, mountains, and traditional Ladakhi villages.
On arrival in Kargil, check into your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Kargil.
Day 8: Kargil to Leh Drop (220 km | 6–7 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed towards Leh. En route visit Mulbekh Buddha Statue, Lamayuru Moonland
(famous for its lunar-like landscape), and Magnetic Hill. Continue your journey along the Indus
River, reaching Leh by afternoon. Tour concludes with beautiful memories of Kashmir and Ladakh.
